These cones are not only large, but naturally come from a pine tree, also called Pinus Pinea or Italian stone pine. These decorative pine cones are open and reveal their empty seed pods. Inside were the popular pine nuts, which are laboriously harvested and are known to us as sweets and are also used in the famous green pesto alla genovese.
These large cones are, however, often used as natural decorations in funeral floristry - the decorative cones for decorating are considered symbols of immortality and resurrection. Thus, the pine cones fit ideally into a flower arrangement for the memorial days of the Dead Sunday and All Souls' Day, because the graceful cone decorations in wonderful brown tones can be easily incorporated.
The large cones of the Pinus Pinea come as natural products in this 50-pack in slightly different sizes and shapes. The range of sizes is around 14 to 18 centimeters, with a diameter of around 10 centimeters. Thus, the pine cones are also wonderful to use as graceful scattered decorations, which make a beautiful, dignified grave decoration with a little twigs of coniferous trees, decorative sand and an angel figure.
