The solar light is operated with two AA solar batteries which temporarily store the energy of the sunlight for the lighting time. The batteries are hidden in the battery compartment, which is located on the top of the metal lantern after opening the cover. The solar lantern can be switched on easily via a small switch from above. The bulb of the LED lantern can be exchanged by unscrewing the two wing screws on both sides. If you want to store the lantern to plug in, the metal rod can be easily separated from the glass lantern by twisting it off and stowed away to save space.
