Native to the Mediterranean region, the Aleppo pine is naturally the producer of these beautiful and decorative Halepensis cones, which are often used in funeral floristry. These are then placed in funeral arrangements or memorial bouquets on the memorial days of Sunday in the Dead and All Souls' Day.

The opened cones have a slightly conical shape and have several scales that bend slightly horizontally outwards and look a little like small tongues.
