Burning instructions for the safe burning of candles:

The candle is a living light. It must be looked after and, as an "open fire", must not be burned unobserved.
Do not burn candles too close together or below one another.
Remove match sticks, pieces of wick or other foreign objects from the burner plate
Candles do not tolerate drafts, which is why they begin to soot, drip and burn down on one side.
If the candle is visibly sooty, carefully shorten the wick while it is burning, extinguish if necessary.
If the wick burns on one side, carefully bend it to one side. Do not bend or break a frozen wick.
A candle rim that is too high can be cut off while it is warm. Cut candles with protruding edges at regular intervals (at least every 4 hours).
Burn candles as long as possible until the whole burner plate is liquid.
To extinguish the wick, immerse it in the liquid wax compound and straighten it up again.
Always burn the candle on a protective coaster.
